Pegasus Suites, located in Georgetown Guyana has officially joined the globally recognised Hyatt family of hotels as an affiliated property and will now be marketed as Atlantic Suites Hotel.
The announcement was made on Thursday by Pegasus, which said the 80-suite hotel, located at the Pegasus Corporate Centre in Kingston, Georgetown, has transitioned into an independent hotel affiliated with Hyatt.
The property is already listed on Hyatt’s website as Atlantic Suites Hotel, located at Tracts “A” and “B”, Seawall Road, Georgetown, Guyana. Hyatt describes the hotel as being in Georgetown’s business centre, steps from the seawall, and offering spacious rooms, workspaces, city or ocean views, on-site dining, free internet access, free parking and a fitness centre.
Pegasus said the hotel will be marketed as an independent property, with a transition to the Hyatt Regency lifestyle brand and the World of Hyatt loyalty programme expected in 2028, when a new adjacent 170-room tower goes live.
“We are excited at this transition to the Hyatt family and the opportunity it presents in serving the business and leisure travelers with trusted hospitality of the highest level,” Pegasus Chief Executive Officer Robert Badal said in the announcement.
The Guyana Office for Investment, Go-Invest, congratulated Pegasus Hotel on what it described as another significant milestone, saying Pegasus Suites has officially joined the Hyatt family as an affiliated property under the name Atlantic Suites Hotel.
“This exciting development marks another step forward for Guyana’s rapidly expanding tourism and hospitality sector, strengthening the country’s appeal as a premier destination for business and leisure travel,” Go-Invest said.
The investment agency said it was pleased to have facilitated the investment and commended the continued confidence being placed in Guyana by internationally recognised hospitality brands.
Pegasus Hotel Guyana, located on Seawall Road in Georgetown, has long been one of the country’s best-known hospitality properties.
