President Irfaan Ali, on Tuesday held bilateral discussions with Singapore’s Foreign Minister, Dr Vivian Balakrishnan, aimed at strengthening economic and investment cooperation between the two countries.
Guyana and Singapore are advancing efforts to establish a framework for deeper collaboration in energy, climate resilience, artificial intelligence, digital transformation, and food security.
According to President Ali, these areas present significant opportunities for innovation, private sector engagement, and sustainable economic growth.
He also encouraged Singapore to join the Global Biodiversity Alliance as Guyana continues to build partnerships that support environmental sustainability and long-term development.
