President Dr. Irfaan Ali announced that Guyana will launch a new diaspora bond within a week, aimed at enabling overseas Guyanese to invest in major public infrastructure and national development projects as the country marked its 60th Independence Anniversary.
Speaking at a press conference, President Ali said the initiative creates an opportunity for the Guyanese diaspora to contribute directly to the country’s ongoing economic transformation while earning investment returns.
“Members of the diaspora, here is your opportunity to make your contribution and be part of the massive transformation taking place in our country,” President Ali said.
This investment bond will provide the Diaspora with the opportunity to contribute directly to Guyana’s development.
