Ogle Airport Inc. has reported its highest domestic passenger traffic on record, underscoring the growing demand for regional connectivity as Guyana’s economy continues to expand.
The company announced at its Annual General Meeting that domestic passenger traffic climbed to 267,503 in 2025, a 14.6% increase over the previous year. International passenger traffic stood at 73,119.
The growth reflects the increasingly important role of aviation in supporting business activity, tourism, healthcare access, logistics and connectivity to Guyana’s hinterland communities. The rise in passenger movement also points to broader economic momentum and increased demand for transport infrastructure in one of the world’s fastest-growing economies.
To support this expansion, Ogle Airport Inc. announced 11 capital projects valued at G$204 million. The planned investments include upgrades to perimeter security, apron expansion and commercial infrastructure. The projects are expected to improve operational efficiency, strengthen airport capacity and support a more competitive business environment.
Chairman Michael Correia Jr. said the airport’s continued development highlights the need for strategic infrastructure investment to support Guyana’s long-term economic growth.
The company also introduced its newly elected Board of Directors and reaffirmed its commitment to expanding infrastructure, improving safety and building an airport ecosystem that supports investment, private-sector growth and national development.
